CP Bauteam carried out several renovation and expansion projects for Luye Pharma to increase production capacity at its site in the greater Munich area. The focus was on adapting existing building structures to integrate new production and packaging processes, as well as creating future-proof spaces for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Particular emphasis was placed on the fast-track project for Building E, where new secondary packaging lines were integrated. As part of the project, personnel airlocks and cleanroom areas were also created, which were planned and implemented in accordance with GMP Class D requirements. The implementation required close coordination between the construction work, the technical systems, and the pharmaceutical process requirements.
The contractors were involved in the planning from an early stage of the project, in line with the construction team model. This allowed user requirements, technical constraints, and cost and schedule targets to be coordinated at an early stage, enabling the development of a cost-effective solution tailored to the specific needs.
The project was completed within a challenging timeframe and required extensive modifications to the existing technical systems and infrastructure. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of all project participants and the early integration of planning and execution, the project’s complex requirements were successfully met.
With the completion of the project, the conditions for a sustainable expansion of production and packaging capacities were established, and the site’s pharmaceutical infrastructure was specifically enhanced to meet future requirements.
