This year again, a part of our team was out to support another social project funded by our “ Strong Children Trust Foundation”. The project came about as part of the “Action Day of Business”. The action day initiated by the business development department of the city of Aachen brings together charitable institutions and companies from Aachen to realize small and large projects together – a great cause that we were very happy to support. This is a project close to our hearts, which we realized together with our colleagues from Carpus AG and Formitas in our company group.
Insect hotel and wildflower meadow
“A green oasis” – that’s what the kids from the Red Cross Family Center in the north of Aachen have always wanted. Our task: to bring nature into the children’s otherwise urban everyday life. Together with other Aachen-based companies, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. The result: After a day of shoveling, screwing, digging, hammering and tinkering, our colleagues conjured up a wildflower meadow and an insect hotel on the daycare center grounds.
A very special thank goes to the company Deubner, which provided machines and equipment free of charge and thus made it possible to realize all the projects in just one day. Of course, the excavator on the grounds of the daycare center was an absolute highlight – and that not only for the kids.
